One of the main activities of our association is the organization of the Avalanche Day and its related events.
In recent years the project has been under the patronage of the Campania Region and MIBAC, and in 2019 President Mattarella and the US Consulate General in Naples sent letters of encouragement to the organization. On 2023 we have welcomed the Britannic Ambassador at Rome his excellence Edward Llewellyn.
The cycle of events, taking place throughout the year, includes lessons with experts/guest speakers in schools, workshops, a collaborative archive project, the collection of oral testimonies and the celebration of historical events, such as the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, or the commemoration of the Battipaglia bombings (21th June).
On the second sunday of September in the same 1943 (9th September) landing areas at Spineta beaches we will be set up a re-evocation of the war events with the participation of specialized groups from Italy and abroad, with clothing and equipment of that time.
There will be a real representation of the 1943 battle with the possibility for the public to visit the fields of the various armies in action and to observe some combat reconstructions.
An official event will be taken in place to remind the victims, after the uniformed groups will move to the city to continue their representation.
