www.mubat.it is online! The collaborative digital archive of the city of Battipaglia available to citizens

The site of the Operazione Avalanche nel 1943 is online. The site is mainly dedicated to describing the initiatives carried out to celebrate the anniversary of Operation Avalanche in 1943 and those aimed at creating the “Battipaglia Museum”, a place of memory built collectively by the citizens themselves.

The site hosts a digital archive created thanks to The Archives Cloud service based on xDams open source platform by regesta.exe, an Italian company specializing in the treatment of cultural heritage. It is a unique experience through which you want to promote the collection of digital objects and references to other sites that contain information and documents related to the city of Battipaglia, the particularity is that the enrichment of the archive will take place thanks to the contribution of anyone. will wish to report interesting content. This winter the boys of the Cat Institute have already worked on the archive (project “a Memoria!”) Who have collected materials and testimonies from their homes and from their families.

A service will be created shortly through which anyone can upload their data and information to contribute to the project.

The “Mubat and Avalanche celebrations” initiative was conceived and designed by the Mu.Bat association as an ideal continuation of the path undertaken with the making of the documentary “Return to Battipaglia” in 2013 on the occasion of the seventieth anniversary of the Allied landing. The project was submitted to the Municipal Administration of Battipaglia which assessed it positively and accepted it as its own.
