June 21, 1943, the memory of the first allied bombing on Battipaglia and Salerno

On June 21, 1943, the allied aviation dropped on Battipaglia its first terrible load of bombs, so the long martyrdom of the city began.

Since 2017, the MuBat cultural association has been organizing the dutiful remembrance of all the civilian victims of Battipaglia during the Second World War, starting with the fallen of June 21, 1943. The initiative is part of the larger project to preserve the Memory of Operation Avalanche
